I have worked with adolescents, families and communities for nearly two decades – providing therapy, consultation and support after they’ve experienced loss and trauma, in a wide range of settings. I began my career as a Guardian ad Litem (child advocate) in the Florida Court System. Since 2008, I have been with Riverside Trauma Center/MindWise, located in Massachusetts, where I continue to provide consultation after traumatic events, including conducting trainings, nationally, on a range of issues, including crisis response, trauma and suicide prevention. I’m trained specifically in evidenced-based, trauma-therapy modalities, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing). My area of expertise are trauma and traumatic loss. I have my graduate degree in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College, and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Trauma Studies from University of Tennessee. I believe in holding hope for a client, and creating enough safety in our space together, to allow for healing to begin.
