Sexual Abuse Awareness
Sexual violence includes a range of actions and behaviors including rape, child sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, and sexual harassment. Sexual violence happens to people of all ages, races, genders, sexual orientations, religions, abilities, professions, incomes, and ethnicities. It is time for advocates, survivors, their loved ones, and the community to come together to talk openly about sexual violence to support survivors, increase knowledge and awareness, and identify strategies and resources to prevent sexual violence.

💚April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month💚
April—and every month—we stand in solidarity with survivors of sexual assault. We honor their strength, listen to their stories, and amplify their voices.
Together, we can build a world where everyone feels safe, respected, and heard. It’s time to break the silence, educate our communities, and advocate for lasting change.
We at SoFlo Muslims are developing a dedicated program to support survivors and help prevent sexual assault within our community. We’ll be sharing upcoming workshops and resources with you soon, inshaAllah.
Let’s work together toward a future where sexual violence is no longer tolerated, and survivors receive the care and justice they deserve. May Allah protect us all. Ameen🤲🏼
